In all other respects I prefer the new version 2 chart format but I think that not being able to display trees/forest is a real problem. These features tend to be very clear from the air and invaluable for cross checking position. I hope it is possible to make this modification. It seems like a retrograde step to lose valuable chart features despite the gains in general clarity from the new format.
What do others think? Is it just me who likes knowing where to look for green stuff?

I think
"Stevelup"
has made it clear in another thread that the "original SD" map is available as an option to select amongst the various types of "Charts" that a subscriber would wish to use. I would assume that the same is available to non subscibers. Can you please try and confirm?

It is available, but as I said, the new format is better in all other respects, so while I can switch to the original when navigating if I wish, it is not an optimal solution for me.

What colour do you think trees should be in the SkyDemon 2 chart style?

Perhaps one option is to replace the light to mid green that indicates terrain at the moment with something like the terrain colour of the Skydemon CAA chart type. Or replace the green tones in the terrain shading with blue/grey. Then the trees could be a mid green.
If that is not desirable, what about a very dark green, darker than any of the current green terrain shades? Or could one use some kind of hatched green and brown? I guess that might not look so nice as the rest of the chart.
